Art is Pat’s passion and she brings originality and creativity to all her work. Born in New York City, a graduate of Sarah Lawrence where she majored in sculpture, Pat taught art and had studios in Soho and the Hamptons before opening A Moveable Feast. One of the first woman chefs, she earned four stars from the New York Times in 1976. Her interest in wine led her to study with Kevin Zraly, Harriet Lembeck, the Sommelier Society, and UC Davis, while starting Lenz Vineyards with her husband, Peter. When the couple moved to California, Pat resumed sculpting and her work is in many wineries, restaurants, and private collections. She is also responsible for the design of Duchamp Hotel and is currently at work on series of large fiberglass sculptures in her studio at the Slaughterhouse.
